Tasted at Bordeaux Index’s annual 10-Year On tasting in London. The 2006 Château Gazin has a delightful bouquet with small dark cherries, blueberry and iodine aromas, completely different to the 2006 Nénin, much more vigorous and cohesive. This is a bouquet with a sense of purpose. The palate is medium-bodied with smooth tannin, respectable depth and complexity towards the finish with delicate, slightly leafy, truffle-tinged red fruit. This seems to be at its peak now and comes highly recommended. Tasted January 2016.
